Meet Wendy

Wendy is a patient advocate, speaker and consultant for liver health, patient inclusion, and hepatitis elimination. As a wellness coach and educator, she supports people in their health & wellness journey.

After being diagnosed and living with chronic hepatitis B for nearly three decades, Wendy broke her silence in 2022.  A change maker and stigma buster, she is on a mission to raise awareness, promote understanding, tackle stigma, influence policy and advance research to fight the hepatitis epidemic. Her advocacy spans speaking appearances, consulting on patient inclusion, community outreach, and activism for public health policy change.

Wendy is a motivational speaker and storyteller who communicates with clarity, candor, and courage. From keynote speaker, panelist, media interviewee to community educator, she has spoken to diverse audiences that include biotech, big pharma, medical societies, community-based organizations and the affected community population.

Wendy bridges the gap between medical research & development and the patient community by providing expertise of an informed, first person perspective. She provides patient-centered insights and consults on patient engagement such as clinical research design.

Wellness Coach * Educator
As a working mother living with chronic liver disease, Wendy has been an avid health seeker turned wellness coach. Currently, Wendy works as a health coach and personal fitness trainer to support others in their health journey. She is a mindfulness practitioner, a certified Functional Medicine health coach and ACE-certified personal fitness trainer with specialty in cancer recovery.

Wendy is a seasoned educator and strategic thinker with business and technology acumen. Previously, she spent 20+ years in the software industry with specialties in global education business management, go-to-market enablement, and information technology (IT) consulting. Bilingual in Chinese & English, Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
